Attorney Gillette has served over six years in the Army National Guard and currently serves at his home station unit in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania. Despite his commitment to the Army National Guard, Attorney Gillette pursued his bachelor’s degree in political science and graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Slippery Rock University in 2020. Attorney Gillette’s time at Slippery Rock included an internship with the Pennsylvania Senate Appropriations Committee, where he discovered the intricate relationship between the law and the financial ramifications of each legislative decision. While attending Slippery Rock University, he also found his interest in military law while taking military science classes offered through his school’s ROTC program.

While attending Widener Commonwealth Law School, Attorney Gillette received the General Carl E. Mundy Jr. and Linda Sloan Mundy Marine Scholarship, began working with the Veterans Association, and clerked for Crisp and Associates for over two years. While clerking with Crisp and Associates, Attorney Gillette became infatuated with military and administrative law, where he assembled research and created briefs for veterans and current military personnel to attain a higher discharge status, receive VA benefits, and remove negative records. His briefs would include delivering them to superiors for submission to boards like the Board for Correction of Naval Records, the Navy Discharge Review Board, the Air Force Discharge Review Board, the Army Discharge Review Board, the Army Board for Correction of Military Records, and more. He was involved in research and briefs for Administrative Separation Boards and various rebuttals, including Article 15s, GOMORs, Clemency and Parole Board Appeals, Grade Determination Review Boards, and many more.

While attending Law School and clerking for Crisp and Associates, Attorney Gillette also worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the Central Pennsylvania Law Clinic, where his typical cases included no-fault divorces, consumer bankruptcies, unemployment compensation claims, and landlord/tenant matters. Attorney Gillette would ultimately graduate from Widener Commonwealth Law School with his Juris Doctor and an Administrative Law Certificate.

Attorney Gillette’s passion, dedication, and real-world experience provide him with the necessary tools to help his clients through difficult circumstances. He understands the uniqueness of every situation and the attention to detail needed to achieve the ultimate goal of helping our clients succeed in the military and civilian workforce.
